Describe your role at Weber O’Brien:
My current role at Weber O’Brien is a Staff Tax Accountant in the BCG department. I prepare corporate and any accompanying state and local tax returns, prepare year-end trial balances, and assist in the year-end tax planning process.
What do you think is most gratifying about your work?
The ability to satisfy the client’s needs and keep them IRS compliant, which will better allow them to benefit their local communities, especially those right here in Northwest Ohio. I also enjoy the ability to work with like-minded individuals who push me to achieve personal and firm goals.
How long have you been with the Firm?
Since January 5, 2016- 1 Year!
What do you like best about working at Weber O’Brien?
I love the environment I walk into at Weber O’Brien. It is surrounded with a culture that promotes growth and personal excellence. The leadership within the firm allows employees to comfortably ask questions to maximize learning potential. Since a diverse amount of work in various services is performed, it allows employees to learn in a very fast pace environment. Allowing us to be exposed to many different areas of the field and grow as professionals.
How do you like to spend your spare time?
I love spending time outside, whether just strolling through local and state parks or competitively shooting at local gun ranges. I also enjoy my leisure time with family and friends.
What is something people may be surprised to find out about you?
I cannot ski!...just kidding that is obvious. I have always wanted to hike at least half of the Appalachian Trail. It runs from Georgia to Maine and passes through 14 states. I spent a couple days on it before and have always wanted to accomplish it.
